About Petroslav
Creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing the piano when I was young, and in my early teens I found myself drawn to video editing and video production - something I still do to this day and continue to love.
Photography came a little later. For my 30th birthday, I bought myself a camera. At first, there wasn't a grand plan behind it. I simply wanted something that would take me outside of my usual work routine and give me another way to be creative. Like anything worth pursuing, it took time, and before long photography became something I genuinely connected with.
Then, in 2022, I went to my first Formula 1 race as a spectator. I brought my camera along, simply hoping to take some photos and enjoy the experience. I had no idea this trip would change the direction of my photography.
What started as simply bringing a camera to a race quickly became something I wanted to experience again and again. Not because I was looking to turn it into a career, but because I had found a feeling I wanted to keep chasing.
Motorsport photography has since become a huge part of who I am as a photographer. There’s an adrenaline that comes with being trackside that’s difficult to put into words - It keeps me completely present, It makes me smile, and for those moments, nothing else really matters.
Ultimately, photography gives me another way to express my creativity - a reflection of how I see and experience the world around me. I photograph for myself, but if something I create resonates with someone else along the way, then that’s an added bonus.
